Introduction

This year our factory marked its 59th anniversary, since my grandfather launched our glass bottle manufacturing company in 1960.

Immediately after World War II, many glass manufacturing companies started operating in Osaka; there were over 50 factories in the late 70s and early 80s. However, the collapse of the bubble economy and the rapid spread of the use of plastic products changed the glass industry with many companies closing down or changing ownership. Bucking this trend and in order for the company to survive, my father, Takeichi Shirakawa kept trying new approaches. He moved into plastics and also started to import both glass and plastic containers from China.

Ten years have passed since I took over the business. As mechanisation and automation have become more prevalent, we started the manual inspection business, as we wish to make our company the trusted choice for all of our customers. Proudly, we have had excellent feedback from them. We will keep doing our best to meet our customers’ and society’s needs, setting our motto as ‘Quality first’. As well as this, we would like to contribute to the improvement of the global environment by expanding the use of glass and the reduction of the use of plastic products.

We look forward to your continued support and working with you in the future.
